Kartik Aaryan

Last year has been a daze for Kartik Aaryan, who is currently enjoying the overnight stardom. The actor shot to fame with his sleeper hit Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, in which he played street-smart Sonu, who can go to any extent for his best friend Titu. The actor, who made his debut at the age of 20 with Luv Ranjan's 2011 film Pyaar Ka Punchnama has made his peace with all that comes along with a celebrity tag.

Recently, in an interview, Kartik spoke about his film choices. He said that currently he is getting a lot of comedy scripts but he chooses films only on his instinct, irrespective of its genre. The actor said that he takes advice from his agencies but never follows his parents' advice. Kartik said that if his parents like a script, he makes sure to not do that film. This is because they suggest him the scripts which have the role of a quintessential Bollywood hero that does action, comedy, drama and all other stuff.

Kartik further adds that he would love to play an onscreen baddie and he feels he would do a good job at it. He said that it will be a sort of anti-casting as it will be unexpected for people to see him as a bad guy. He also expressed his love for dark films. The actor said that he loved AndhaDhun, Baazigar and Badlapur.

Kartik also opened up on his relationship status. The actor said that currently, he is committed to his fans and would like to concentrate on his work. He said that relationship takes a lot of time and as he is currently busy, he will feel guilty if he is not able to give enough time to his partner.

On the professional front, Kartik's forthcoming movie Luka Chuppi, co-starring Kriti Sanon, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi is a rom-com. The movie directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan is set to release on March 1. Talking about the film at the trailer launch event, producer Vijan said, “Luka Chuppi is not about hiding from your spouse. It is about love in the family and how a family wants to know where you are, all the time. It is a comedy of errors. A story about a joint family.” Watch the trailer below:
