As the film became one of the highest grossing movies of 2012, it gave a kick start to the careers of the lead actors.
Varun, Alia and Siddharth became overnight stars after the success of ‘Student Of The Year' and there was no looking back after it.
Today, while the film has completed three years of its release, it also marks three successful years of Varun, Alia and Sid in the Bollywood industry.
No doubt, all three of them are working quite hard to create a niche for themselves with talent and dedication.
Alia Bhatt took it to Twitter to express her happiness for completing three years in B-town and thanked her first director Karan Johar for giving her the most ‘Shaandaar' moment of her life. The actress tweeted, “#3YearsOfSOTY today My most Shaandaar moment in life was my first day of SOTY.. THANK YOU @karanjohar!!! For giving me that moment..”.
In another tweet Alia thanked her ‘SOTY' co-stars Varun and Siddharth for the wonderful start of her journey in Bollywood, as she tweeted, “Couldn't have asked for a better way to begin our journey journey ;) thank youuuuu @S1dharthM & @Varun_dvn #3YearsOfSOTY”.
Varun Dhawan too thanked Karan Johar on Twitter for his debut, as he tweeted, “just realised its been #3YearsOfSOTY.will never forget those moments.made a lot of friends. thank you @karanjohar for creating rohan.”
Even Siddharth thanked ‘SOTY' director on social networking site, “It's our Bollywood birthday today #3YearsOfSOTY thank you to our creator @karanjohar n the whole team n cast,special date !”.
All three actors have big projects in hand.
While Varun Dhawan is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty's ‘Dilwale', Siddharth will soon be seen opposite Katrina Kaif in ‘Baar Baar Dekho' and Alia is busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Shaandaar' opposite Shahid Kapoor which is slated to hit the theatres on 22nd October, 2015.
