Omung has earlier directed biographical dramas such as Sarbjit and Mary Kom.

First look of Narendra Modi biopic will be out on January 7. The poster of the movie will reportedly be unveiled by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. Along with the poster in 23 different languages, makers are also expected to announce the release date of the film.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared details of the movie on Twitter. He wrote, ''IT’S OFFICIAL... Vivekanand Oberoi (Vivek Oberoi) to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi... Directed by Omung Kumar... Produced by Sandip Ssingh... First look poster will be launched on 7 Jan 2019... Filming starts mid-Jan 2019.''
