Ever since PM Narendra Modi announced the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, people from all walks of life including Bollywood came forward to coin their opinion on the same. Actor Arshad Warsi seemed unhappy with the decision and lashed out on the PM Modi with the series of tweets.
The actor not only asked Modi to change the one sided laws but also politely requested him about his white money. He further said that it’s not fair that a dishonest company is permitted to do business in India but honest income tax payers have to suffer.
He then stated that if he is wrong then criminal lawyers who get their fees from criminal should give their Tax paid income to EOW. He not only pleaded PM to enjoy his position but also asked him to stop using honest TAX payers as his foot rest.
@narendramodi EOW takes my hard earned TAX PAID income from my bank account & there is nothing I can do about it.— Arshad Warsi (@ArshadWarsi) November 11, 2016
@narendramodi Modiji if you really want to improve India then change the one sided laws. Can I please have my TAX PAID WHITE MONEY BACK.— Arshad Warsi (@ArshadWarsi) November 11, 2016
@narendramodi A fraudulent company is allowed to do business by the Govt & the innocent tax Payer has to pay the price. Where is the justice— Arshad Warsi (@ArshadWarsi) November 11, 2016
@narendramodi if I am wrong then every criminal lawyer should give their TAX PAID income to EOW, because he is being paid by a criminal.— Arshad Warsi (@ArshadWarsi) November 11, 2016
@narendramodi Sir please enjoy your chair but please stop using the honest TAX payers as your foot rest.— Arshad Warsi (@ArshadWarsi) November 11, 2016
Some prominent faces of the industry like Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Shah Rukh Khan and Mukesh Bhatt applauded the PM’s move.
However, the actor’s tweets didn’t go well with the Twitterati, who trolled him for the same.
If you were an honest tax payer you wouldn't have felt like a foot rest. https://t.co/Cq0iUw0Yf9— Maithun (24℃) (@Being_Humor) November 11, 2016
