It seems that the much talked about reality TV show Bigg Boss has lost its charm completely. The show, which once ruled TRPs, is not attracting eyeballs for the past few seasons, and looks like the tenth season too has not made a dent in this tradition of falling ratings.

The TRP ratings show dip from the first to second week. In the week that it premiered, Bigg Boss 10 hosted by superstar Salman Khan managed to feature in the 7th spot of the top 10 shows in the Indian television. But in the second week, it slipped to number 19.

Shows Naagin 2 and Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, are the toppers of the list at number 1 and 2 respectively.

The poor show of ‘Bigg Boss 10’ hints that the new concept of bringing commoners with celebrities was not appreciated by viewers. The show was widely promoted months in advance but still couldn’t create buzz among viewers.

Another reason why the reality programme scored low on the TRP report card is because of its timings. The show airs at 10:30 on Weekdays, a time where a large chunk of office-goers go to sleep.

It should not be noted that during the seasons, Bigg Boss aired at prime time it raked in high TRPs. However, due to presence of explicit content the timings were shifted resulting in a dip.

However, one can’t solely put the blame on the timings for it. Ardent followers of the show would agree that the show lacks the entertainment quotient. This season the concept of India-waale and celebs in the same house looked interesting in the start but became boring too soon. Other than contestants Swami Omji and Lokesh Kumari, none of the inmates have been able to entertain viewers, making for a dull watch.

Let us wait out to see what all new twists and turns the makers bring to get back in the TRP battle.
