Popular filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s upcoming Tamil film which will feature Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu and Fahadh Faasil will release in January next year. The news was announced on Saturday. A statement was released which confirmed the inclusion of Oscar-winning music composer A.R. Rahman in the film.
The project, tipped to be a high-budget action-thriller, also stars Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh. Having already worked with Arvind Swami in "Roja", "Thalapathi", "Bombay" and "Kadal", this will be Ratnam's maiden collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu and Fahadh.
Santosh Sivan will be taking care of the camera works while Sreekar Prasad will be handling the edit. Rest of the cast is yet to be finalised by the makers. Two more heroines will be welcomed on board and audition process for the same in underway.
Official PRO of the film Nikhil Murugan has released a press note confirming the upcoming project. This is Madras Talkies’ 17th film. Earlier, Dulquer Salman, Ram Charan and others were rumoured to be a part of this project. More details are awaited about this upcoming Mani Ratnam venture.
