Emraan Hashmi gets a newcomer opposite him in Cheat India

Emraan Hashmi's Cheat India is based on the crimes taking place in the Indian education system and the mafia that has been created as a result of this parallel business.

Newcomer Shreya Dhanwanthary has now been announced as the lead for upcoming Bollywood movie Cheat India. Shooting of the film commenced in Lucknow on July 25. Shreya is a model and has been seen in several TVCs. Reports say that producers auditioned more than fifty girls before finalising Shreya.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the news. He wrote, "Shreya Dhanwanthary signed as the lead for #CheatIndia... Stars Emraan Hashmi... Directed by Soumik Sen... Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Emraan Hashmi... 25 Jan 2019 release... #RepublicDayWeekend."

The movie is based on the crimes taking place in the Indian education system and the mafia that has been created as a result of this parallel business. Helmed by Gulaab Gang director Soumik Sen, this is the second flick from Hashmi's production house. Sen has previously written the screenplay for films such as Anthony Kaun Hai? and Meerabai Not Out. Cheat India will hit the theatres worldwide on January 25, 2019.
