
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has established a 10-member committee tasked with developing and implementing a Parenting Calendar for the academic session 2025-26. The committee will work on creating guidelines and schedules aimed at supporting parents in nurturing their children’s educational journey. The tentative deadline for submitting the committee’s recommendations is set for 15 March 2025.
The initiative seeks to improve parent-teacher interactions, address diverse student needs, and establish clear communication protocols for key milestones like exams and behavioral changes. Special focus will be placed on supporting adolescents, children with special needs (CWSN), and students across different age groups.
Key objectives of the parenting calendar:
- Enhanced Parent-Teacher Communication: Streamlining guidelines for discussions on student progress and concerns.
- Addressing Individual Needs: Tailored approaches for adolescents and CWSN to ensure their challenges are met effectively.
- Framework for Critical Events: Outlining specific timelines for events like results and intervention points for behavioral issues.
- Regular Engagement: Structuring check-ins for consistent support to students in need.
