Reports say Khushbu Bansal and her friends who had come to attend her birthday bash were busy dancing at the rooftop restaurant pub The Mojo when the incident took place.
The fire broke out on the third floor of the four-storey building on Senapati Bapat Marg, a commercial hub of the city, a civic official said.
