The charges of money laundering by a shell company against Bharti were brought by a television channel and then by senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi.
Lalu claimed that Misa Bharti converted her black money into white through dubious transaction of sale and purchase of shares of her company - Mishail Packers and Printers Pvt Ltd.
He further said that the ruling ‘Grand Alliance’ of RJD, Janata Dal (United) and Congress will be weakened in view of the Supreme Court's order and that Nitish will love to see a ‘weak’ Lalu.
The top court also ordered separate trial against the RJD supremo and others accused in four different cases related to the Rs 1000-crore scam. The trial is to be completed within nine months
Reacting sharply to Modi's allegation, the RJD described the allegation as "half-baked" information that would expose him (Modi) in the future.
The case was filed in Hajipur civil court by BJP's Chandeshwar Bharti, a resident of Hajipur -- district headquarters of Vaishali, about 30 km from here.
Lalu said that there should be reservations in ‘mutts’ (monasteries) of the Shankaracharyas too.
Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday admitted that the two-acre land on which Bihar’s biggest mall was being constructed, belonged to the company owned by his family.
Prasad was taken to Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital. Doctors said that they conducted an X-ray to assess his injury.
