Samsung Electronics is expected to hold the summer edition of its ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event next month in Paris, the host of the upcoming Olympic Games, industry sources said on Friday.

The event will take place on July 10, just about two weeks before the opening of the Paris Summer Olympics, with the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones and the wearable Galaxy Ring to be unveiled, according to the sources.

Samsung will release its new foldable products in July for the second time. This follows last year's Unpacked event in Seoul, as reported by Yonhap news agency. Previously, the company held its Unpacked events biannually in January and August.

Moreover, Samsung Electronics, an official partner of the International Olympic Committee, has chosen Paris as the venue for its summer edition ahead of the quadrennial world sporting event in the French capital.

The new Galaxy Z series smartphones are expected to feature on-device AI, similar to the latest Galaxy S24 model, which was released in January. While, the Galaxy Ring is a ring-type digital healthcare device, which was first showcased at this year's Mobile World Congress in Spain in February.

Meanwhile, Indian tipster Yogesh Brar has shared the price of the Samsung smart ring on the social media platform X. According to the tipster, it could be priced between $300 and $350 in the US, and around Rs 35,000 in India. The Galaxy A, Galaxy M, and Galaxy F series smartphones are priced lower than this.

In addition to India and the US, Samsung may also launch the Galaxy Ring in the European Union. Most of the features of this smart ring have not been revealed yet. According to the report by Android Authority, the company may launch this smart ring as a subscription service, with features similar to Oura Ring, Apple, and Fitbit products. An optional subscription for this smart ring may be available, priced at around $10, approximately Rs 830.
