HMD Global is set to launch the Nokia 8.1 in India today. The phone was first launched in China as Nokia X7 and is the first phone by the company to run on Snapdragon 710 SoC. The launch was tipped quite a few time in the past was launched globally at an event in Dubai. The Nokia 8.1 launch will take place at an event today in Delhi at 6 pm.
Nokia 8.1 specifications
The Nokia 8.1 sports a 6.18-inch FullHD+ display and features HDR 10, with a screen aspect ratio of 18.7:9. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 710 processor and come in three variants of 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. It gets expandable memory of up to 400GB. For Biometric security, the phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock on the front. The phone will run on Android 9 Pie and will house a 3500mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
Nokia 8.1 launch in India and expected price
HMD Global had launched the Nokia X7 in China at three price points, which includes a 4GB RAM/64GB variant at 1699 yuan (Rs 17,575 approx.), 6GB RAM/64GB at 1999 yuan (Rs 20,675 approx) and the 6GB RAM/128GB variant is worth 2499 yuan (Rs 25,850 approx.). While in Dubai, the Nokia 8.1 was launched at Dubai at 399 euros (Rs 32,500 approx.). As far as India pricing is concerned, the Nokia 8.1 is expected to be priced more than Rs 25,000 in India.
