Australia on Thursday expressed satisfaction over the security and other preparations regarding the Commonwealth Games to be held here in October.
An Australian delegation led by High Commissioner Peter Varghese met officials at the Home Ministry to discuss security and other preparations related to the Games.
"We were here just to discuss preparations for the Commonwealth Games. After receiving a briefing on the progress made we were very satisfied with what we heard," Varghese said after a half-an-hour long meeting with senior officials at the North Block.
When asked if the discussions also focussed on security aspect, Varghese said, "Yes, the security and other arrangements."
The Commonwealth Games are scheduled to be held from October 3 to 14.
