Misbah -ul- Haq, Pakistan captain praised his quick bowlers for saving his team from yet another defeat that would have meant end of the road for the former World Champion.

Pakistan registered their first win in World Cup 2015 after defeating Zimbabwe by twenty runs in a pool B game at Brisbane here on Sunday. Pakistan have faced two defeats first at the hands of arch rival India and then at the hand of West Indies.

Misbah had a word of praise for his quicks Mohammed Irfan and Wahab Riaz who bowled brilliantly and kept taking wickets at regular intervals. "Special credit goes to the bowlers. They just kept up the pressure, kept taking wickets, that's the key at this World Cup."

Misbah said "The situation we were in, while batting, the kind of start we had and at one stage, the way that (Brendan) Taylor and (Sean) Williams were going, it's really pleasing that we could just manage to win the game."

The Pakistani Skipper also had a word of praise for Shahid Afridi who turned thirty five today. Misbah Said " At the end, Shahid Afridi, the four last overs were very crucial, especially the 47th, a maiden, that was the key.  Pakistan will next play against United Arab Emirates at Napier on March 04.
