HARARE, Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe spinner Prosper Utseya took a hat trick to change the game as South Africa went from 142-0 to 231 all out in their triangular series one-day international on Friday.
Utseya became only the second Zimbabwean to take a hat trick in ODIs when he dismissed opener Quinton de Kock, Rilee Rossouw and David Miller in consecutive deliveries in the 27th over, sending the South African innings into freefall.
Utseya ended with a career-best 5-36 and was backed up by fellow offspinner John Nyumbu, who took 3-42.
South Africa was targeting 300-plus after the 142-run opening stand by Hashim Amla (66) and De Kock (76). Zimbabwe's spinners changed things dramatically on a slow Harare Sports Club pitch and the South Africans battled to get past 200 with a last-wicket stand of 36.
