Bridgetown: Fast bowler Morne Morkel grabbed 3-33 as South Africa wrapped up a convincing seven-wicket victory over West Indies just before lunch on the fourth day of the third and final test at Kensington Oval on Tuesday.
The Proteas sealed a 2-0 victory in the three-match series to retain the Sir Vivian Richards Trophy for a sixth successive series since 1998.
West Indies, resuming its second innings on 134-7, was bowled out for 161 as Morkel took all three wickets to fall.
Veteran left-hander Shivnarine Chanderpaul batted through the innings to finish unbeaten on 71.
South Africa, set 47 to win, coasted to its target despite a fiery three-wicket burst from pace ace Kemar Roach.
Roach grabbed 3-22 before AB de Villiers hit the winning boundary 25 minutes before lunch.
South Africa needed just 36 minutes to brush aside the home team's lower order in the morning.
Morkel did all the damage, flattening the off stump of Sulieman Benn (9) before claiming Roach (8) and Brandon Bess (0) to outside edges.
Morkel ended the series with 14 wickets while pacemate Dale Steyn, who finished with 15, earned the man of the series award.
Chanderpaul and Benn stretched their partnership to 23 before Morkel found the gate between bat and pad to dismiss Benn.
Roach then drove loosely outside the off stump and feathered to wicketkeeper Mark Boucher, while Bess deflected his first ball to Jacques Kallis at second slip.
Chanderpaul's sole vigil occupied 179 balls and 249 minutes and included seven fours and one six.
South Africa's march to the crushing victory had a few hiccups against the hostility of Roach.
Captain Graeme Smith, hit on his chin by a Roach bouncer, eventually slapped a pull straight to midwicket at 14-1.
Roach also dispatched Alviro Petersen (6) via an inside-edged drive onto his stumps.
Roach also ripped a lifter off Jacques Kallis' helmet, which led to an angry mid-pitch confrontation between the two.
It threatened to boil over and the pair had to be separated by Australian umpires Steve Davis and Simon Taufel.
Roach had further success when Hashim Amla (25) sliced a drive to gully at 45-3.
But the visitors had the final laugh as de Villiers squirted a boundary through third man to secure the comprehensive victory.
Kallis was unbeaten on 0 at the end.
South Africa won the first test by 163 runs, and the second was drawn in St Kitts.
