New Delhi: Yashpal Sharma, member of 1983  victorious  1983 World Cup team,  has warned India against complacency as he feels next game against South Africa will be a big challenge for India as they have world class fast bowlers.

Yashpal Sharma who appears as an expert on India TV's “Phir bano Champion,” said  Indian openers will have a daunting task negotiating South African world class pace battery attack.

Yashpal said India today faced relatively a weak bowling attack but South Africa have a formidable fast attack which will be a big challenge for Indian batsmen particularly openers.

Today India defeated Pakistan by 76 runs after Virat Kohli' century and 50+ runs by opener Shikhar Dhawan and later by Suresh Raina. However other opener Rohit Sharma failed and threw away his wicket early.

Rohit Sharma who opens Indian inning with Shikhar Dhawan, failed while playing a rash shot against Pakistan who was nevertheless beaten by India. This was Pakistan's sixth consecutive defeat at the hands of India In the Wolrd Cup.

“Rohit Sharma is a gifted batsman but at times throws away his wicket and should play with responsibility if India have do well in the World Cup,” feels Yashpal Sharma, a former Indian cricketer.“Rohit will have to  realize his potential and importance of his wicket because he is one of the key batsmen of India,” said Yashpal.

Yshpal said since Pakistan did not have depth in their batting line up they could not chase the target despite some of our batsmen failing to contribute substantially to the score.“There will be lot more responsibility on Indian openers when India take on South Africa. Front line batsmen will have to face first twenty overs with tremendous guts particularly Rohit, Bhawan and Virat ,” said Yashpal.
