Colombo: England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and elected to bat first in the second one-day international against Sri Lanka at R. Premadasa Stadium on Saturday.

   

Flags were flying at half-mast at the Premadasa Stadium as the match took place in the wake of the death of Phillip Hughes. The players wore black armbands and a minute's silence was observed before the start of play.

Alastair Cook announced one change to his side, with Steven Finn fit to lead the attack after a groin strain. Ben Stokes was the man to lose his place. Sri Lanka were unchanged after their 25-run win on Wednesday.
