Speaking at the reception, Tendulkar said whatever he had achieved was the result of his efforts for the last 23 years, and not because of a match.

Asked why he didn't celebrate his 100th century in Bangaldesh itself, Tendulkar said, the result of the match that day was disappointing despite his hundredth ton. “That's why we decided not to celebrate”, he said.
