South Africa on Sunday crashed out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 after a humiliating 8-wicket loss against India.
After outclassing South Africa in the “virtual quarter-finals” on Sunday, Indian skipper Virat Kohli asserted that it was their best performance of the ICC Champions Trophy so far
Sent into bat by Kohli, South Africa were bowled out for 191 in 44.3 overs. In reply, India chased down the target with 12 overs to spare, reaching 193 for two in 38 overs, to set up a last-four clash with Bangladesh.
India made 193-2 thanks to Shikhar Dhawan's 78 and Virat Kohli's unbeaten 76, and looks like playing Bangladesh in the second semifinal on Thursday at Edgbaston.
Opener Shikhar Dhawan took just 16 innings to reach the 1000-run mark, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar, who took 18 innings to complete the milestone.
Mallya, who sports a beard, was seen wearing navy blue suit along with an unknown lady outside the match venue in London.
Pakistan to take on Sri Lanka in the last group match on Monday at Cardiff to book a spot in the semifinal of ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
