Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh praise Ishant Sharma for Birmingham five-for

Ishant picked up five wickets for just 51 runs and is considered as his best bowling spell till date. The 29-year old fast bowler guided Indian team to bowl out England in just 180 runs on Day 3.

Ishant Sharma is the senior most bowler of Indian Test team right now and he proved his vitality against England on Day 3 at Edgbaston. Ishant was in lethal form against the English side and picked his eighth five-wicket haul. Earlier this year Ishant played some County Cricket in England conditions for Sussex and that helped him a lot. Ishant, who is the pillar of Indian fast bowling in Test cricket in past few years, sometimes labeled as the defensive fast bowler. But he proved everyone wrong and was almost unplayable for England batsman.

Ishant picked up five wickets for just 51 runs and is considered as his best bowling spell till date. The 29-year old fast bowler guided Indian team to bowl out England in just 180 runs on Day 3. While India finished day three at 110 for 5, still needing 84 runs for victory. Skipper Virat Kohli was unbeaten on 43 in the company of Dinesh Karthik (18).

Former Indian cricketers were in full praise for Ishant Sharma splendid effort against England on Twitter.

While Indian veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was in fun mood and congratulate Ishant in his own style by tweeting, "Oh lambheeeeeeee...top spell @ImIshant wish you many more 5 wickets hauls... today as a senior bowler responded well when it was needed the most.. sabash tere.. India will be happy chasing 194.. Go well boys @BCCI #EngvInd 1st test." 

Former Indian player Mohammad Kaif also praised Ishant and got the spelling wrong of Ishant in excitement later he tweeted again

Test cricket specialist of his time Aakash Chopra compared his five-for to 2014 Ishant's Lord heroics.
