MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina have scripted their names in the Indian cricket history books and it is quite a unique record which the duo have set as they become the first Indian players to feature in India's inaugural T20I match and their 100th as well.

Dhoni and Raina featured in India's maiden T20I match against South Africa on December 1, 2006. At the time, it was former Indian swashbuckler Virender Sehwag who led the side and the Men in Blue won the match by 6 wickets.

Since then, India have been a dominant force in the shortest format of the sport as it was MS Dhoni who led India to win the inaugural ICC World T20 trophy in 2007.

India currently play their 100th match against Ireland in the 1st T20I of the two-match series.

Dinesh Karthik was also one of the players to feature in India's maiden T20I match, but was not selected in India's hundredth.

Dhoni and Raina have been India's T20 specialist since 2006, and have been an efficient driving factor for the Men in Blue's success in the shortest format of the game.

Former Team India skipper, Dhoni, has played 90 T20I matches where has scored 1444 runs with a highest score of 56, whereas Raina, has played 74 T20I matches where he has hammered 1498 runs and has scored a hundred as well.
