India's performance in last five England Test tours
With India all set to take on England in a five-game Test series that is scheduled to kick off from June 20, let us have a look at the Indian team's performance in their last five Test tours of England.
1. Pataudi Trophy 2007: The three-Test format series saw the Indian team clinching the trophy. The first Test of the series resulted in a draw thanks to adverse weather. The second Test of the series was won by the visitors after an exceptional performance by Zaheer Khan. Furthermore, due to the third Test resulting in a draw, it was team India who clinched trophy, winning the series 0-1.

2. Pataudi Trophy 2011: The very next tour resulted in a disappointing loss for the Indian team. Changing into a four-test format, England displayed complete domination in the series, defeating India in the first Test by 196 runs, the second Test by 319 runs, the third Test by an innings and by 242 runs, and the fourth Test by an innings and 8 runs. Defeating India across all four Tests, England comfortably won the Pataudi Trophy in 2011.

3. Pataudi Trophy 2014: Once again, a display of complete dominance by England. After the first Test was drawn, the Indian team put in a good show, winning the second Test by 95 runs. However, after the first two matches, England came right back into the series, defeating India in the third Test by 266 runs, the fourth Test by an innings and 54 runs, and the fifth Test by and innings and 244 runs, clinching the trophy once again.

4. Pataudi Trophy 2018: The India tour of England in 2018 once again ended in heartbreak for the visitors. England kicked off the series with back-to-back wins in the first and second Test. The Indian team aimed for a comeback in the third Test, but England quickly came back into the series, defeating India in the fourth and fifth Test, clinching the trophy once more.

5. Pataudi Trophy 2021: The tour began with the first test resulting in a draw. Furthermore, the second Test of the series saw India registering a dominant 151-victory. The third Test saw England winning the game by an innings and 76 runs, with India winning the fourth Test by 157 runs. Subsequently, England won the fifth and final Test of the series by 7 wickets as the Pataudi Trophy 2021 resulted in a draw.
