He went on to clinch 439 wickets in 93 Test matches he played in his career. Steyn was notably known for one of the greatest to ever grace the game and was ranked number-one bowler for the longest time in history - 2343 days.

He was a nightmare for the opponents, having the ability to swing both ways. Overall, he played 104 Test matches, clinching 404 wickets at an average of 23.62.
