6 players picked for England tour but dropped from West Indies Test series
India have dropped six players from their squad that toured England. Karun Nair, Arshdeep Singh, Akash Deep and Abhimanyu Easwaran have been dropped from the squad.
India have dropped Abhimayu Easwaran from the squad that travelled to India. Justifying the reason, chief selector Ajit Agarkar noted that there wasn't a need of an extra opener and if required, he will be flown in the middle of the series. An all-rounder in Axar Patel, was preferred over Easwaran.

Shardul Thakur is also one of the six cricketers to face the axe from the upcoming West Indies series. The team management didn't require another pace-bowling all-rounder apart from Nitish Kumar Reddy, and for the same reason, Shardul wasn't considered.

Arshdeep Singh has also failed to retain his spot in the Test squad. He was picked for the England tour but wasn't given any game time. With the series being held in India, the team management wanted a pacer with more experience and so, Arshdeep was dropped.
