Chris Gayle is the only batter in the history of Test cricket to hit the first ball of the match for a six. He achieved this unique feat in the Test match against Bangladesh off Sohag Gazi in Dhaka. However, the same bowler got him out soon after scoring 24 runs off 17 balls with two sixes and as many fours. Gayle still remains the only batter to smash the first ball of a Test match for a six.
