In the season, Vaibhav became the player to hit the most sixes in a single IPL season, he broke the record of Chris Gayle as he hit a total of 72 sixes to his name in the season.

4. The IPL 2026 was also the first instance of three players scoring 700+ runs in a single IPL season. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill finished in second and third in the orange cap race, scoring 722 and 732 runs to their name, respectively. Furthermore, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi finished ahead of them with 776 runs to his name as well.
