Navyug Express is India’s only express train that covers 15 states at a time. It halts at 61 stations and covers 3,686 km in 73 hours with an average speed of 53 km.

Some of the important railway stations that the Navyug Express connects with Mangaluru include Tirupati, Vijayawada, Nagpur, Bhopal, New Delhi, Ludhiana, Pathankot and Jammu Tawi.

As per the available information, Navyug Express actually passes through 15 states on its journey from Mangalore Central to Jammu Tawi, making it one of the longest train routes in India.

This train runs on the longest route as it connects Jammu and Kashmir with other Indian states and it was one of the longest trains in India and connected Mangaluru to many pilgrimage centers. The operation of the train was canceled due to COVID-19.

Talking about full schedule, the train leaves Mangaluru Central at 5:05 PM on Mondays and reaches Katra at 3:10 PM on Thursdays. On its return, the train departs from Katra at 9:55 PM on Thursdays and reaches Mangaluru Central at 11 PM on Sundays.

It is interesting to note that the Navyug Express from Mangalore Central to Jammu Tawi reaches its destination after 59 halts and the train has improved the connectivity of Jammu & Kashmir with other Indian states.
