Meet Miss India Manasa Varanasi | IN PICS
Wednesday saw the grand finale of Miss India 2020 pageant during which Manasa Varanasi was crowned as the winner by Suman Ratan Singh Rao who was the winner of Miss India 2019. Meanwhile, Miss Grand India 2020 turned out to be Haryana's Manika Sheokand while UP's Manya Singh was crowned Miss India 2020 runner-up.
Manasa will now be representating India at the 70th Miss World pageant that will take place in December 2021. The 23-year-old beauty happens to be a financial information exchange analyst by profession.
Manasa loves to read books, enjoy music and perform yoga. She says that since she was a shy child, it was Bharatanatyam and musis that helped her express herself.
For Manasa, her mother, grandmother and younger sister are the the three most influential people in her life. She gets her inspiration from Priyanka Chopra who was crowned Miss World in the year 2000.
While speaking about PeeCee, the Miss India 2021 said in an interview, "Out of all the beauty queens, Priyanka Chopra really stands out to me because she's an explorer - she has always chosen to push her boundaries and made her mark in various spaces - music, movies, entrepreneurship, social work and the list goes on. Also, as a shy kid who tried to make herself heard, I always looked up to Priyanka for the outspoken badass that she was. It's her versatility and strength that I draw inspiration from."
The Miss India 2020 jury panel included a lot of names from the Bollywood industry including- Neha Dhupia, Chitrangada Singh, Pulkit Samrat and also fashion designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock.
