Not only in Hindi cinema, he had also worked in Hollywood movie like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). The legendary actor was born on 22 June, 1932. He died on 12 January, 2005, as after suffering from myelodysplastic syndrome which later caused cerebral hamorrhage. Abundance of disputes occured but in the end he realised his mistakes and allowed his daughter Sakina to stay with her husband played by Sunny Deol.

    When we think about villians, a name always strikes in our minds first ''MOGAMBO". It is regarded as one of the most unforgettable roles of Amrish Puri. Though, Anil Kapoor and Sridevi were the lead actors in this Shekhar Kapoor directorial. His famous dialogue 'Mogambo Khush Hua' still echoes in hearts of movie lovers. Mogambo, was an evil scientist who had made his own kingdom and tortured the downtrodden.
