Amrish Puri was one of the most iconic actors in the Indian film industry who majorly played negative roles.
He is still known for his role as Mogambo in 1987 film Mr India. He worked in around 400 movies from 1967 to 2005.
Puri was first notices after the movie Hum Paanch, where he noticed for his capability to play negative roles.
He is also known for delivering famous dialogues in the movies Mr. India, Karan Arjun, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaenge, Gadar, Damini etc.
Amrish died in Mumbai in 2005 after a brain haemorrhage at the age of 72. His autobiography, The Act of Life, was published in 2006 which is the document of the cinema of his times.
