Pope Francis on Thursday fell and hurt his arm, the Vatican said, just weeks after another apparent fall resulted in a bad bruise on his chin. Francis didn't break his arm but that a sling was put on as a precaution, the Vatican spokesman said in a statement

On December 7, the pope whacked his chin on his nightstand in an apparent trip that resulted in a bad bruise.

The 88-year-old pope has battled health problems and often has to use a wheelchair. Last month, the Pope suffered from a cold, the Vatican had said. Francis has long suffered bouts of bronchitis, especially in winter.

In 2023, he ended up at the hospital to receive intravenous antibiotics. He had part of one lung removed as a young man and frequently seems out of breath, especially after walking or exerting himself.

Pope Francis visit to India likely after 2025: Cardinal George Koovakad

Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad had said that Pope Francis's visit to India will most likely be after 2025, which has been announced as the "Jubilee Year" by the Catholic Church, due to celebrations in Rome that year. Fifty-one-year-old Koovakad was elevated to the rank of cardinal by Pope Francis on December 7.

He also said that he proudly recalls everyone's prayers, love and blessings for him. On being asked about the Pope's visit, he said that it was not clear when Pope Francis would come to India.

"Chances are that it will be after 2025 which is the jubilee year. There are a lot of celebrations in Rome as it is the jubilee year and therefore, the Pope will most likely be there that year," he told media persons. '
