Bangalore, Apr 20: Industrialist Vijay Mallya offered puja to Lord Subrahmanya yesterday seeking success for his IPL franchise team Royal Challengers Bangalore and debt-ridden Kingfisher Airlines.
Mallya promied to donate a gold plate covering for the door of the outside mandap of the temple.
He also promised to offer "panchamruta abhisheka" (special prayers) and "ashlesha bali" (sacrifical offerings) to the Lord, reports said.
The temple's governing council presdent Krishnaprasad Madtila, executive officer H M Kali and protocol officer Venkat Raj welcomed Mallya at the shrine.
Later, Mallya went to Lord Tirumala Venkataramana Temple in Bantwal and paid obeisance to the presiding deity there.
