“Around 340 personnel on board, all of them will get a chance to go to Chennai to see your beautiful city, equally they will be able to operate ashore with the Indian navy through forms as I have already discussed, and they will all showcase their expertise,” he said.
Another US official Commander Calfee said the exercise was aimed at accomplishing air defence and anti-submarine warfare techniques.
“Some of our major missions that we are going to accomplish, our air defence, also anti- submarine warfare; we carry two helicopters that are able to assist us in conducting our mission,” he said.
