UP govt believes in 'real' development, does not spend on statues, says CM
Gorakhpur (UP): Attacking BSP chief Mayawati over alleged misgovernance during her regime, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said his government believes in “real development” and does not spend money on stone statues.The Opposition
“We will buy electricity even from private sector to provide it to the poor and the villagers,” Yadav said.
Later, inaugurating a 100-bed Encephalitis ward at the BRD Medical College here, he said that eradicating the menace of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) was the prime concern of his government and there would be no dearth of funds for providing treatment to patients suffering from the disease.
It may be noted that 1,741 patients have been detected as AES positive, of which 358 died since January this year in the eastern region.
He also inaugurated a Trauma Centre, an MRI Centre and a Community Centre on the Medical College campus.
