Surat/Ahmedabad: The Surat police has formed six teams to trace self-styled godman Asaram Bapu's son Narayan Sai, whose whereabouts are not known after complaints of sexual assault were filed against the father-son duo by two
A police team, which has been formed by Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Shivanand Jha to probe the sexual assault case against Asaram, has reached Surat to collect vital clues.
“The team reached Surat last evening to collect clues related to the sexual assault case lodged against Asaram,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Sector-I) J K Bhatt said, adding that it will also record the statement of victim.
The elder sister in her complaint accused Asaram of repeated sexual assault between 1997 and 2006 during the time she had been living in his ashram on the outskirts of Ahmedabad city.
