Raipur, Aug 7: The Commercial Tax Department sleuths conducted raids at the premises of Grand Motors in Chhattisgarh and recovered Rs 2.67 crore in tax dues from the auto dealer, officials said yesterday.
Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths raided the premises of Grand Motors in Raipur and Bilaspur, and after finding evasion of taxes, recovered Rs 2.67 crore from the firm, Commercial Tax Commissioner R S Vishwakarma said.
Irregularities were also found in the documents related to sales, he said.
Grand Motors has a two-wheeler showroom in Raipur and four-wheeler outlet in Bilaspur.
