Moga, Punjab, Sep 3 : Vinay, a labourer from Jharkhand was killed and another labourer was in critical condition, after soil suddenly collapsed during sewerage work in Sant Singh Nagar near GT Road here on Friday, police said.
Fire Brigade, ambulance and Samaj Sewa Society rescue teams rushed to the spot when the soil suddenly caved in, as the labourers were busy working on a sewer line. JCB machine was brought to extricate the body of the labourer.
The injured labourer has been sent to Moga Civil Hospital.
