Myanmar grabs Manipur land, all party team visits Moreh

Led by Deputy Chief Minister in charge of Home Gaikhangam Gangmei a team consisting of 33 representatives of all political parties left Imphal on Tuesday morning for making an on the spot assessment of the controversial Indo-Myanmar border and construction of the border fence.
 
The proposed fence will pass through 18 villages and Choro Khunnou in Ukhrul district will go entirely to Myanmar.
 
After inspecting the border areas Gangumei said that the construction of the border fence is not “satisfactory”.
 
He merely said that in his capacity as the chairman of the Public Estimates Committee Anand shall draft a memorandum on the issue based on the visit by the team.
 
The team will submit a memorandum to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other central leaders.

An all party team led by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh will visit Delhi soon.
