1. PM Modi to launch MUDRA Bank


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today launch MUDRA Bank, which will provide credit of up to Rs 10 lakh to small entrepreneurs and act as a regulator for 'Micro-Finance Institutions' (MFIs).

 

2. Mamata Banerjee to lead land bill rally

 
West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee will lead a rally today demanding withdrawal of the controversial Land Acquisition Bill.

The rally will start from Mouali to Gandhi statue demand withdrawal of the black land bill.

 

3. President to confer second round of Padma Awards

 
President Pranab Mukherjee to present second round of the Padma Awards at the Rashtrapati Bhawan today. Amitabh Bachchan will receive Padma Vibhushan for his unmatched contribution to the field of cinema.

5. India to host fifth meeting of SAARC Health Ministers

 
India will today host the fifth meeting of the SAARC Health Ministers in the national capital, chaired by Union Health Minister JP Nadda.

Health Ministers of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will participate in the meeting.

 

6. Commonwealth Speakers' meet in Vizag

Presiding Officers of Parliaments of 10 countries and eight States in India along with Chairpersons of Legislative Councils and Assembly Secretaries are participating in the three-day Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) conference to be held here from today.
