Satyam appeared for the IIT-JEE examination twice.

In 2012 he appeared from the Chennai zone and  got All India rank of 8137.

He reappeared in 2013 as he wanted to improve his rank.In 2013 he appeared from IIT Mumbai and got all India rank of 679.
