9. Delhi: The literacy level in Delhi has risen steadily since the last decade, with 91.03 per cent males and 80.93 per cent of women literate — an overall improvement of 5 per cent since the 2001 Census.
The overall literacy level has also increased from 81.67 per cent in 2001 to 86.34 per cent in 2011.
The gap between male-female literacy level in Delhi has dropped from 12.63 per cent to 10.10 per cent.
