New Delhi, Oct 22: Fasih Mehmood, one of the founders of Indian Mujahideen, has been deported by the Saudi Arabian government to India, and is presently in the custody of Delhi Police Special Branch, sources said.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia had confirmed to the CBI, the nodal agency for Interpol in India, that they have nabbed Fasih Mehmood, an alleged terror suspect.

Fasih Mehmood, an engineer from Bihar,  is wanted by the Delhi and  Karnataka police for his alleged involvement in the Chinnaswamy Stadium blasts in Bangalore and the shooting incident near Jama Masjid (Delhi) in 2010.

CBI had initiated the process for his deportation after issuing a red corner notice on May 31 this year.

CBI had approached Interpol for the arrest of 28-year-old Mehmood on charges of being involved in terror attacks.
