New Delhi: The Election Commission on Sunday said exit poll results can be disseminated only after 6:30 PM on May 12, the last lap of the nine-phase Lok Sabha polls.
"In order to remove any doubt, it is clarified that under the law (Section 126A of the Representation of People Act, 1951), the results of exit poll can be disseminated only after 6:30 PM on May 12, 2014, as already notified by the Commission," said an EC order.
