The DGMO-level meeting proposed during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's talks with his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif in the US is also likely to be put on hold in view of the escalating ceasefire violations.
Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh had also yesterday briefed Defence Minister AK Antony on the situation on the LoC and the international border and the steps taken by the force to deal with the situation.
After the increasing number of violations, Jammu and Kashmir Chief minister Omar Abdullah yesterday said the Centre will have to look at other options if Pakistan continues to violate ceasefire.
