Mumbai : Residents of the illegally-constructed floors in the Campa Cola residential compound have begun to examine their options after the Supreme Court ordered yesterday that they would be evicted by the end of May next year.
“The occupants are waiting to see the copy of the order passed by the apex court. We are not giving up hopes.
There has to be some way out. Let our legal team come back and we will sit together to decide our future course of action,” a resident of the compound Nandini Mehta said. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Sitaram Kunte said the civic administration would follow the Supreme Court order.
“We have learnt about the order. We will abide by it,” he said.
