Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Prasanna Kumar Mohanty today briefed new Chief Minister-to-be, N Chandrababu Naidu, about the ongoing process related to the bifurcation of the state.

Chandrababu, whose Telugu Desam Party won 102 seats to bag power in (new) Andhra Pradesh, will take oath as the first chief minister after June 2 when the bifurcation process will have been formally completed.

The chief secretary gave a power point presentation to Chandrababu on the division of assets and government employees between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

He also briefed him about the status relating to the distribution of the All India Services (IAS, IPS and IFS) officers between the two states, official sources said.

There is no clarity yet on the cadre allotment of AIS officers as guidelines in this regard have not been announced yet. The file on this is pending the approval of the prime minister.
