Siliguri, July 6: Around 118 passengers and the crew of a Delhi-Bagdogra Air India flight had a narrow shave Friday when a wheel of the aircraft got stuck in slush while it was taxiing after landing.
Bagdogra Airport director K.K. Bhowmick said recent rains resulted in slush along the runway. None of the passengers was injured.
Among the passengers was West Bengal Forest Minister Hiten Burman.
The return flight to Delhi was cancelled and the 167 passengers booked on it either took refund or rebookd themselves on another flight .
"The aircraft is still stuck in the slush. A team has arrived at Bagdogra to rectify the problem. We hope services will be normal Saturday," Bhowmick said.
