Ahmedabad: A delegation of 17 district governors of Afghanistan today met Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and showed interest in replicating the state's famed dairy sector model in their country.
The delegation met Modi, BJP's prime ministerial candidate, in the state capital Gandhinagar.
“The delegation evinced interest in emulating the successful dairy cooperative model and was also impressed with the administrative decentralisation of the state government,” a statement issued by the state information department said today.
The delegation members are in India for a training programme at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, organised by the Indian Government.
They were on a two-day visit to Ahmedabad and Banaskantha.
