Unreserved, platform tickets available online from Nov 1: Here's how you can get it

Unreserved tickets can be booked using UTS app, which was launched four years ago in Mumbai. This facility was extended to various other cities including Delhi, Palwal and Chennai.

Unreserved and platform tickets of Indian Railways can be purchased online from November 1, 2018 across the country. Railways has taken this decision in order to provide relief to passengers from long queues at railway stations.

Unreserved tickets can be booked using UTS app, which was launched four years ago in Mumbai. This facility was extended to various other cities including Delhi, Palwal and Chennai.

According to a PTI report, forty-five lakh people have registered on UTS app and on an average 87,000 people book unreserved ticket everyday using the app.

Those wanting to buy unreserved or platform tickets via UTS app should be in the range of 20-25 metres of railway station. 

How to use UTS app?

1) Download the app using app store or playstore.
2) Register on the app and then log-in.
3) Book general, seasonal, quick and platform ticket.
